About me

I’m used to keeping my thoughts to myself, so this world of blogging is strange and disturbing. Nonetheless, I’ve thought it would be good for me to try to share more, so here goes.

I’m interested in quilt art, social justice, counseling, salsa dancing, eating, board games, furniture design, and jokes. For work, I’ve done fundraising, teaching, nonprofit program management, curriculum design, popular education training, and once, in an unfortunate incident, scraped labels off the back of textbooks in a short-lived temp assignment. I have too many interests, and am still trying to decide what to do when I grow up.

I currently work at the Center for Community Arts Partnerships at Columbia College Chicago, where I fundraise for arts education programs for young people. I get jealous of the programs they get, because I wish I had art classes after school too!
